Malcolm is listed as a son of Charles and Amy Telfer in the family vault, but his sister Jean McMurtrie's first-hand account Some Childhood Memories names only ten children — Frank, May, Millie, Jean, Gladys, Doris, Eddie, Reg, Murray and Ruth — with no mention of Malcolm anywhere. Eddie's own childhood recollections independently confirm counting exactly those siblings.
Possible explanations: misattributed parents, infant death not counted among the ten, or a data entry error from an unsourced online tree.
